Stepping Out in Chic Style with Versace Sunglasses Versace sunglasses  have been in the news lately, and it's no surprise. It's hard for something as fabulous as a Versace creation to stay out of the spotlight for very long. A few weeks ago, after some shows with the Pussycat Dolls, Lady Gaga discovered that her vintage Versace 676s had been stolen, which is sort of a tragedy on several different levels. I mean, if anyone was meant to wear Versace sunglasses, it's her, right? So she put out an alert expressing her dismay: "Im so devastated I can barely talk. If anyone knows where my Biggie Smalls Versace glasses are, Ill make them the star of my next video!"

Well, guess what. Nobody 'fessed up about the stolen goods, but a fan in Paris, France came to the VIP Room (a club) February 25 and presented Ms. Gaga with a replacement pair of vintage Versace shades. She thought at first that the fan wanted her to sign them, but no. He was giving them to her, and in return he received her sincere thanks, a hug, and an offer to be in a music video. Whether the video gig ever happened or not is unknown, but suffice it to say that the fan learned all about the joy of giving on that night. Wow, it's almost like a Christmas special, huh?

But the moral to this story is not that it takes vintage sunglasses and persistence to meet a star, but that Versace sunglasses are legendary. The coveted 676s were designed personally by Gianni Versace, who was murdered in 1997.

The current Versace 2040s and 2082s are also modern takes on sunglasses, but in a more rounded off shape than the vintage 676s. And if you're looking for a broad selection, you've come to the right place. Versace makes a range of styles that go from in-your-face-fabulous to understated, yet classy. You can find the single-lens styles as well as simple metal-framed shades and big, glamorous Hollywood shades in the Versace section.

Versace sunglasses have a loyal fan base, and we have the real thing in enough styles that there's something for everyone, whether they dig aviator shaped sunglasses, rhinestones, or butterfly shapes. This design house is a favorite of the stars, and it's not hard to find celebrities like Sting, Madonna, and Jon Bon Jovi wearing Versace sunglasses.

Even now, over a decade after Gianni Versace's untimely death, the label is going strong under the direction of Gianni's sister Donatella, making clothing, accessories, and even housewares. Versace is a label for people who aren't shrinking violets. In fact it's always been the label of "more," whether that's more vibrant, more current, or more sexy. Slip on a pair of these sunglasses and it's like slipping on a new, more confident attitude. But confidence is easy when you know you look this good.
